Special thanks to Cow 273 and her love for bearded men! I happened to capture this moment as 273 gave an affectionate lick of her owner Farmer Vaughan Bourque’s face as he was showing me the cattle that survived a barn collapse a week earlier. Thanks to her show of appreciation I ended up winning a Silver award from the Atlantic Journalism Awards on May 8th/2010. Thanks Vaughan for letting me in a little closer that day!
