Trying to Survive

As Homeless person 50-year-old Corinne Williams leans up against a dumpster, she describes how the Fredericton Emergency shelter is over crowded, and how she and her friends have had to set up a makeshift tent in order to keep warm. Sleeping outside is nothing new to them, but the problem with this tent is its source of heat, which is a sewer exhaust vent. While this supplies lots of hot air it also supplies sewer gases which are toxic. The city is working with the Province to try and solve the problem.
